This will mean nothing to people who aren't finance geeks, but I just discovered that when all my retirement accounts transferred over to Fidelity last year, they made all the Rydex Funds accessible to me for online trading in those accounts. It used to be that only Rydex customers (with hefty account minimums) and institutional investors could invest in these funds, which allow for some pretty sophisticated hedging strategies and shorts (such as the Inverse Dow x2 Fund). Now I can use them in my IRAs and 401(k)! Woo Hoo!
