Once again, Camille Paglia is insightful.
"Something has gone seriously wrong with Democratic ideology, which seems to have become a candied set of holier-than-thou bromides attached like tutti-frutti to a quivering green Jell-O mold of adolescent sentimentality."
I've been noticing the increasing trend for years that political discourse on the left has devolved into a petty psychodrama focused on the re-enactment of middle- and high-school rivalries and vendettas (viz. the way lefties talk about Bush Jr.). It became particularly evident during the early years of the Clinton Administration, and is now so advanced that our entire political conversation sounds like a really boring episode of "Washington, DC 20005."

Get over it people. Grow up and move on. I really, desperately want the Democratic Party to pull its head out of its collective anus and provide a real choice and real leadership for the USA. But, until they can get past their "adolescent sentimentality" and moral posturing, I will continue to regard them with the contempt they deserve.

No one from the left will admit that John Kerry's nepotism ivy league education produced worse grades than Dubya's either. There's all like, "oooh, here the Republicans are swiftboating again." Whilst Kerry hid away and fanned the flames of his accusers by not revealing his competent military record (that also revealed his 2.0 GPA).

Also, why doesn't anyone talk about Bill Clinton granting China MFN status? How very liberal of him, in light of the human atrocities he was well aware of then...and the fear it evokes in the world now, with China on top. Clinton single handedly did this.

REal issues, the Republicans have many as well...discuss and eliminate the sophomoric tactics.

I'm fast becomming Camille Paglia's biggest fan. The logic is refreshing. My brother sent me this link today too.
